Using Time Effectively

sing Time Effectively. “Time is like a sword, if we are not using well, it will wound us”; This Arabic’s poem is more emphasize to the useful of the time more than only for the money or materiality. In 1 (one) day is consist of 24 (twenty four) hours, and usually we are set 8 (eight) hours for sleeping or resting, 8 (eight) hours for working and 8 (eight) hours for playing. Balance is important, but it will depend on how we are using the time effectively.

There are some wise ways to using the time effectively, I will try to explain and hopefully it will help our life to be more effective. The principle is in this article is having the ineffective time, try to multiply it with the days in a month and after that with the days in a year.


1.Waiting is the most boring thing and one of the most potential thing to waste our time, because we will waste our time between 10 (ten) minutes until 1 (one) hour, every time we do this waiting activity. We are usually have a meeting with someone, and when we have to be waiting we can bring the books or do any positive and potential thing as the strategy for making our waiting activity more effective.

2.Priority the activity. This activity is including the work or tasks that we need to do in the work activity and the personal activity. Make the list from the urgent priority until the less priority. This priority will depend on the period of time to finalize the activity. Put the priority list in the place that we are easily to see, and don’t forget to always give check list every time you finalize the activity because it can stimulate our spirit to finalize the next activity. And it is important to focus with the work that we do, because there is some activity like read a book, actually we just need 30 (thirty) minutes to finalize it, but if we are not focus, we will waste time twice to finalize the book. The key word is refreshing.

3.Discipline. This is important thing to make time more effective. Every concept that we try to implement, without discipline, it couldn't reach maximum potential.

4.Shopping list. It can make we not waste our time Can you imagine if in every months 3 times you will go to the same supermarket for buying your need. Actually we can make strategy with making note every time we remember the thing that we need, so that we just need one time for going to the supermarket to fulfill all the need. Beside that we can separate between our important need with the daily need.

5.Decide our vision. We can choose to be a busy person to fill our empty time or to be a busy person to do every activities to reach our dream. With vision, we know what we need, and this can make every activity that we do get closer to our dream.

6.Refreshing. Rest, refresh our mind with do the activity that we like, example sport. It can help us to increase stamina to do all the activities. Stress can make negative impact for us to do activity with maximal, and the worst is we can not continue our next activity. We can do refreshing once every 3 (three) hours with 15 (fifteen) minutes or once a week to go to the garden, to enjoy the fresh air in the morning..

7.Inspiration. It can help us to develop every plan for implement ourr dream. The things that we can do are, read a biography of a successful person, watch the patriotic movie or motivation movie.

Hopefully this 7 (seven) points can help our live more meaningful. I believe that every person has the strategy that can be developed in their life for having the better life.

    how about using these word "it couldn't reach it's full or maximum potential"
    and 100% agree "waiting" is useless nothing good comes from just waiting you ought to work hard and get the ball to score a goal
