Good Leader Characteristic ( Influence )

ood Leader Characteristic ( Influence ). Many way to explanation what is good leader, in this article will discuss about influence. Influence capability is the most important thing about a leader, more you have influence capability, more you have people to follow you.

Example, in the middle of decision making meeting, the person who have confession from rest attendant is a great leader come late. He is sit in near of access door, one of attendant say “ because you are leader, please sit in front of us. “ The person who have confession say “ wherever i am sit, i still the leader “.

The leader is not about position but influence, they need support from “grassroot”. More the leader can influence people, more support will give to the leader. “Grassroot” is sensitive with decision what leader makes. When leader make decision must thinking some aspect, there are :

1. How many people will react positive.
2. How many people will react negative.
3. How many percent the decision will effect to important person.
4. Every group have leader, we must know how key success to influence the leader.

Peoples must know what benefit to them if a leader make decision and why this decision to take.

Pareto Principle

P
areto Principle. This is about priority what we do, frequently people need more 24 hours to fill for “to do list“. The problem is we do not know how make priority, the pareto principle is 20/80 principle, which mean is if we effective time our 20 percent top priority “to do list” it will effect 80 percent result what we need.

Example pareto principle is 20 person in one company can make decision and the effect is 80 percent company production. In real life, example we have 10 “to do list” with 10 target productivity, with pareto principle we must make 10 “to do list” with priority, 2 of top priority “to do list” is must be effect of 8 target productivity.

This is how we make the priority, if we do the list, what will effect to our target planning and if we not do the list, what wil effect to our target planning. From that we will know and can put our 20 percent top “to do list”.

Good management priority it will makes different between the leader and follower.

Attitude Effect for a Leader

ttitude Effect for a Leader. Leadership not much connection with position but what leader do. Every attitude of leader and how the leader thinking will effect to the follower, attitude is important thing then hard skill thing. If a leader do the great thing, the follower at least will do near it.

Positive Attitude :

1. Honestly.
2. Fair.
3. Visionary.
4. Wise.
5. Brave.
6. Motivate.


You have big responsible for your follower, become a leader is not thinking yourself but others people. Be aware with what you do because your follower will watch and learning.

Leader Transform

L
eader Transform. As a leader, we must always do introspection and if need, we do transform our self better. “Move” is important to do for leader, always move do not in static position. Many people when in top position and then not smart to do anticipation of change will fall of top position.

Henry Ford, person who is create and design Model T for car and number one person in General Motors company. In 1912, one of General Motors staff make change on Model T design because he thing General Motors need do a change to make sure always on top position in market. On that year, Model T on top of popularity, Henry Ford the creator is love the Model T and do not want any change. But the market tell different, Model T have losing ground. In the end Henry Ford take suggestion to produce and sell Model A.

A leader must ready in every change in they neighbor and must do evaluation if need to change too or not.
